Ultimate Compatibility - Love Envieth Not

Free full 7 day trial eHarmony membership.

Love envieth not. This speaks to ones ability to be appreciative of their own life. The context here is you in relationship with others. How well can you celebrate the achievements of others. Can you genuinely do this in the right spirit. If you can then that is a great gift to those around you but more importantly it is a great gift to you.

God wants to see his creation thrive. When you can rejoice with others as they thrive you will be a most positive person. Being encouraging is life giving and always desirable to be around. I don't intend to be trite about this. It does not come down to a strategy. This is an aspect of love that is often overlooked. There is a tendency to ask the question why am I not receiving accolades when someone else is being lauded for achievements. If this is not you then that is great but if this does apply to you then, during those thoughts, think about the phrase Love envieth not. This will help make sure that you are not missing out on one of the great experiences of this life. Goodwill to others.

Ultimate Compatibility - Love Suffereth Long

Love suffereth long (is patient) and still remains kind. It is important to be able to be a loving being when all that is around you appears less so. Remaining kind when others around you is a challenging task but a wise one as well. In this statement about love we get a directive that to be truly loving we must be consistent lovers. Not eros lovers but agape lovers.

Even though your surroundings are changing you must remain the same. One day you may be in a situation where those around you are exhibiting love but another may find you in a hostile situation. A certainty is that the principal of love should prevail in either. It would appear that an important aspect of love, specifically with respect to this line of scripture, is that your vision of what can be must transcend your situation. There is that which tries to thwart the consistent presence of love or the consistent presence of peace but love that suffereth long can see beyond this confusion. It sees what must be in order to maintain a continuum of peace and harmony.

Love Is The Ultimate Compatibility

Okay ladies and gentlemen love is the ultimate compatibility. But we all talk about love like it’s an understood term. You always hear phrases like “I want someone to love” or “I have a love interest” or …. I conjecture that love is a tad more serious than most of our notions about it. I am going to start blogging about what love really means and I hope some of you will share your thoughts as we take this journey. The best definition of love that I know comes from the bible. Yes the bible. Stay with me here I know that we can still have great discourse about this. I don’t think that I fit your stereotypes about Christians (but then again maybe I do). But I really want this to be a discussion about real life compatibility so I hope that it is.

Okay! I am going to put the whole thing out there and each new post will discuss a little part of the whole thing. So this is just stating the definition and we will use this space to discuss it over time. The language is a little arcane but we can use this to our advantage. It is as follows:

Love suffereth long, and is kind;
Love envieth not;
Love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Love doth not behave itself unseemly,
Love seeketh not her own,
Love is not easily provoked,
Love thinketh no evil;
Love rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Love beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Okay it is so stated. Let our journey begin.
